insomnia..

I try to sleep 2 hours ago, but i dunno why i cant sleep.. my eyes are very tired and sleepy but i cant sleep..
then i woke up and have a drink, wash my face, on my lappy and start to write this entry :).. maybe for me is just this night only.. but do you know that most of adults have this insomnia problem? insomnia in general is a kind of disease that makes u cant sleep at night.. so, because i cant sleep right now.. i've google something about insomnia.. do you know that insomnia can be classified in three types:

  1. transient - last for less than a week.
  2. acute - last for more than a week to a month.
  3. chronic - last longer than a month.
Specialists in sleep medicine are qualified to diagnose the many different sleep disorders.. Patients with various disorders includingdelayed sleep phase syndrome are often mis-diagnosed with primary insomnia. When a person has trouble getting to sleep, but has a normal sleep pattern once asleep, a circadian rhythm disorder is a likely cause.. In many cases, insomnia is co-morbid with another disease, side effects from medications, or a psychological problem.. Approximately half of all diagnosed insomnia is related to psychiatric disorders.. In depression in many cases "insomnia should be regarded as a co-morbid condition, rather than as a secondary one;" insomnia typically predates psychiatric symptoms. In fact, it is possible that insomnia represents a significant risk for the development of a subsequent psychiatric disorder..
There is a quite few methods or treatment to insomnia:
  1. non-pharma logical (hypnotic medication)
  2. cognitive behavior therapy
  3. medications (sleeping tablets, sedative)
  4. benzodiazepines (hypnotic medication drugs)
  5. non-benzodiazepines (new hypnotic medication drugs)
  6. alcohol
  7.  opioids (hydrocodone, oxycodone, morphine)
  8. antidepressant (amitriptyline, doxepin, mirtazapine, trazodone)
  9. herbs (valerian, chamomile, lavender, hops, passion-flower)
So, this insomnia problem is quite big.. if u have any symptoms of it.. don't wait any longer.. go and see the doctor for treatment..

i'm tired of counting sheep's ~~
